Barnacle lapstrake boat on Nanaimo's inner harbour.
We're back safe and sound from our trip out to Vancouver Island. We had a great time with Nancy and Art and the kids as well as other friends we ran into along the way. It was also great to meet Dave and Katie's little boy Nicholas for the first time. He's a really good little baby for 3 months old.
Our trip took us to Kamloops, North Saanich, French Beach, Miracle Beach and Tofino. We had exceptional weather for the entire trip with nary a drop of rain to be seen. The kids lived on the beaches and the outside shower on our trailer got a real workout, day in and day out. We fit in a trip to the Sooke potholes, some mini golf, fires on the beach, kayaking, a water taxi ride, a beach side crab boil and a LOT of swimming as well as some other stuff. We also visited the Victoria, Comox and Nanaimo hospitals en route for a variety of reasons (we're all fine).
I will post some pictures (I took 1400!) and stories as I have time but we are off to Montana for 10 days or so on Sunday. Should be fun.
